British Airways Possible £183 Million Fine for Digital Data Breach

In September 2018, news broke that British Airways was hacked. “Poor security arrangements” caused the breach, leaking 500,000 users information. How does this affect you?

They’re facing a record setting £183 million fine by the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Is your client data safe?

No passport or travel detail was compromised, but the hackers may have gotten credit card numbers, security codes, expiration dates and emails.

You may not be based in the UK or do business there, but know that data safety is big business. Hacks to access sensitive data, financial resources and even ransomware that engulfs entire computer networks is on the rise.

Enable proper security precautions and back up data regularly to protect your users, your brand and your pockets.
